From the WW1 era, the 1910's this may be a one of a kind men's trench wristwatch, or wristlet as they were known until the 1930's.
To find a WWII vintage military men's wristwatch in such excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition is becoming more and more of a challenge so we are delighted to have found this one that predates them by over 40 years!
Here's what we know about this particular timepiece. It has a brass case that measures 1.27" across, excluding crown and fixed lugs.
The dial looks to be a combination of white and off-white, but the crystal is very old and makes the dial appear to be yellow. I wouldn't replace the crystal as, I believe, it best to keep it as original as possible.
The bold syringe hour and minute hands compliment black Arabic numbers and a crisp black outer chapter.
The movement, which sets and winds effortlessly which is running well and keeping very good time, is hand-engraved with the following:
